Medicines and medical aids: what supplementary insurance pays

Basic insurance pays only for medicines on the list of pharmaceutical specialities (SL) and for medical aids on the MiGeL list. Many outpatient supplementary insurances cover part of other medicines and aids prescribed by a doctor. Check the percentage, any yearly maximum and the insurer's lists that exclude individual products. Only the exact wording of the conditions is binding.
